Hi everyone ,
I want to build a gaming rig to play games like the witcher 3 on 1080p low or medium(I dont care about graphics quality just resolution) and MGS V etc.

I can go either of two ways with this get an I5 now and a r7 260x later which will be about a $100 OR I can go for a apu in the form of an A10 7850K what should I do. YEs, I am willing to OC

also I am asking how comparable are they in raw cpu performance I don't do much video editing. I think they may be close but I am new to this.

P.S I also want to play Dishonored 2 but since specs are unknown can anyone guess

Go for the i5 3570k or 4690k first because processors are generally more important than graphical power. Go for a good fan like a Noctua DH 14 or 15 or go for water cooling and OC your CPU to 4+GHz. Upgrade you GPU later because you can run an APU for now. Intel cpus over an amd cpus is a must with gaming, Intel out performs AMD Cpus with a doubt. Although the AMD cpus may have more cores clocked at a better rate they aren't as good as Intel cores.
Go for the processor and then the gpu because processors>graphics card at the start of building a PC.
Get a graphics card around ~$300 and I guarentee it will be future proof.

The problem with getting either of the above processors (the intels) is that they are expensive in my country as with other pc components so everything is at least $50 more expensive. But I get your point and will make sure that I will use Intel I5s as my base and build up on that but just out of curiosity how badly are AMD's CPUs outperformed ?

The 3570k is the same as the 4690k here(India)
