What is iFFS Display Save/Restore in BIOS under Intel Rapid Start Technology?

The target of Intel® Fast Flash Standby™ (iFFS) (also known as Intel® Rapid Start Technology™ iRST) is to get a wake-up time from S4 compareable to S3. Normally S4 is caused by OS which stores it's information to the hard disk and does then a normal shutdown. S4 resume takes quite long as the system does a normal BIOS POST and OS restores it's information from the hard disk

IFFS does it in a different way. The Operating System initiates an S3 and stores it's information in memory. After that BIOS copies this OS information from DRAM to SSD and does a sleep state similar to S4 with nearly zero power. If system is resumed by power button, BIOS restores memory content from SSD to the DRAM and does an S3 resume which is much faster.

i don't know if it works with win 10 or not, as its mostly a feature from 2014 or so, it might not be supported.

how is it set out?
Is iFFS Display a heading or a choice?
Save/restore look like choices but does Display show anything?
I don't know what exactly it saves or restores unless there are options in t he display area

Motherboard Is Zebronics H61. There Is NO Information Of BIOS In The manual. It Only Contains One Important Info And That Is Front Panel Connectors.

I Tried Turning Save/Restore On, Didn't Make Any Difference At All.

Motherboard makers don't make their own bios, there are other companies which make them and many all use same maker, just different software.
So who makes bios might help. It might not but we got nothing to lose.

H boards even from big companies hardly ever have complex manuals. its more the Z variety that tend to show more since you can overclock those.

AS I said, its likely the drivers the feature even talked to in windows don't work now, so its unclear what they would have done in the past. It was created at a time when ssd were tiny, now the advantages of this method are less obvious since ssd are faster and bigger.

Both forms of IRST were originally created to make HDD look faster, the rapid start did it one way and Storage used an ssd as a cache drive and let hdd appear much faster than it really is at boot

If you have an ssd now you don't need either method.

It's AMI BIOS (American Megatrends). At least that's what it says on the box. It says American Megatrends in the BIOS interface

Hey. I made a new hibernation partition just for this feature. Is it safe to just delete that partition or I have to first disable IRST?

I expect it help to turn feature off in BIOS before deleting partition

win 7 only had hibernation so IRST made sense
WIn 10 has hibernation and Fast Startup. Fast startup is essentially the same thing as IRST but you don't need intel boards to use it.
If you have an ssd as boot drive, you don't need either.
