[SOLVED] what is my real ram speed ?

Hello mates
i got new 2x8 dual channel ram 3600mhz

Gigabyte app center telling me each have ( 1333mhz max bandwidth )



windows task manager tell me its 3600mhz

pc21300 is 2666mhz. it showing 1333 because ddr mean double data rate

did you turn on xmp profile in bios?

Can you show screenshots from CPU-Z - memory and spd sections?
Task manager is known to show inaccurate data. Not familiar with Gigabyte app center.

Gigabyte app center is trash (as almost all of them). I would not believe in whatever it says without checking more reliable sources first (CPU-Z in this case).

So CPU-Z says 1800 which means 3600 MHz, as it should be. Gigabyte app lies (as expected).

Well, it does not do that intentionally (so maybe lie is bad word) - it's just so badly coded piece of software that it's no real surprise to see it give wrong values. It is truly beyond my comprehension why serious company has so bad software, but it is what it is. My advice is always same - uninstall immediately (at least until they can write something competent).
