The PCI-Express slot has undergone some changes over the years, and subsequently, the video cards that go in them have too.

Since you have a 2.0 PCI-Express slot, you don't have to worry about any sort of compatibility issues, which is nice! The only time someone would have to worry about compatibility problems with PCI-Express slots and cards is when they are trying to put a PCI-Express 2.1 video card in a PCI-Express 1.0 slot on the motherboard. That combination is known to have instability issues and isn't compatible.

However, as previously stated, you have a 2.0 slot, which means you can put any type of card you want in there (Power Supply permitting, PLEASE make sure your Power Supply meets the power requirements of the card you want to put in your computer BEFORE purchasing it!). Whether it's a 2.1 card, 2.0 card, or even a 1.0 card, they'll all work in your slot, so you don't have to worry about it.

Hi I have Version 1.0 im assuming i cant use 2.0 cards? please lemme know if you get this ty
