What is shadow level in nfs hot pursuit

hi i just want to know about shadow level and blur effect in nfshp-2010 . i tried google but didt get desired answer.
what is they for if i increase or decreasing the shadow level what will happen?..i didt get any difference...

increasing shadow level results in more realistic shadows but it is barely noticeable while chasing at high speeds.Blur effect comes to play once you hit the turbo or nitro.

Increasing the shadow level usually increases the resolution at which shadows are calculated resulting in sharper and better looking shadows.Since Hot Pursuit 2010 is more about cars the only difference you will notice is in shadows cast by cars.In any case since your car is tearing down the road at high speed I doubt you will even notice the difference.As far as blur effects is concerned it creates a motion blur effect around you car at high speeds.It makes me dizzy therefore I turn it off in all games
