16gb RAM , AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core , 1650 RTX Super, 500W EVGA, Im super new in this world, i bought it mainly to play Warzone, and my objective is get more FPS and a better look of the game overall, currently it gives me between 70-110 depending on the game mode, I have a 144hz monitor LG, and i was advised the 2060 Super, but dont know if that is the best upgrade without changing anything else. Im aware that if i go to a top of the line RTX i would have to change Power source and other components.

ANy feedback would be greatly accepted. thanks

Thanks for making me look and learn

The RAM is a CORSAIR DDR4 2x8GB / 16gb 3200MHZ VENGEANCE RGB PRO
The case is a CARBIDE SERIES SPEC 05
Adding previous info- The Gaming Motherboard is B450 AORUS PRO WIFI
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core ,
1650 RTX Super MSI Ventus XS OC Edition
500W EVGA

For PSU i did not have a budget preset but googling it i guess 100-150USDis fine.

For GPU i was thinking 300 USD for the 2060 in amazon, but if its worth it the more i understand i can do 400 USD on GPU
If you are willing to spend up to $150 on a PSU, you could cut $50-70 off that and add it to your GPU budget. Buy a 650watt 80+ gold for $80'ish or cheaper on sale. $350 should get you an XFX 6600 XT which is faster than a 3060.

Just remember to...

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

EVGA is the brand of the PSU while 500W is the advertised wattage for the unit. Please read off the PSU's label and mention the model for the unit. How old is the unit, mind you?

Link to the ram you're working with? Motherboard make and model?

Thanks for the reply!

Reading the box of the power source it says - 500W 80 PLUS

The Gaming Motherboard is B450 AORUS PRO WIFI

About RAM i dont know how else to get info, im running some commands on cmd but not sure how to get info of that one

The PC has 3 years of use, i bought it to a cousin who was making a change and it was a good price and he never used it for gaming, he used it for adobe, photoshop, he is a designer, im using it for gaming and been with it around 2 weeks.

let me know if that is helpful, thank you so much

Thanks, any recommendation in particular in power supply?

And if that is the first step , then the next step would be to upgrade to which RTX? or am i in the wrong path, should i upgrade something else before?

My objective is to keep playing on 1080p , and if i can get 120-130 fps + i would be happy

You can read off the side of the ram sticks(the sticker) to tell what they are. Where are you located and what sort of a budget do you have for your PSU and your GPU? One other thing, what case are you working with? Clearance issues can impeded GPU purchases as well.

I appreciate it! Am i missing something by not being an NVIDIA graphic card? just wondering cause i see that my fav streamers use the NVIDIA panel a lot, but i guess the XFX have a similar tool? and am i assuming correctly that by doing these changes the rest of the components of my PC wont need to be changed, at least for now, correct? Thank you so much for taking the time

AMD has video encoding and streaming tools as well. I have no experience with it so I can't say for sure if it's better or worse than NVIDIA. The RTX 3060 is around 10-20% slower than the RX 6600 XT, but that could mean maybe 5-20fps difference depending on the game, resolution and graphics settings.

The cheapest RTX 3060 I know of is at evga.com for $400 on sale right now. The also have the RTX 2060 for $210-$260 during their sale right now, which is around 20% slower than the 3060. I'd suggest getting a dual fan model 2060 for better cooling, starting at $220.

You should be able to run either the 3060 or 2060 on your current PSU and system without issue as long as you have at least a single 6+2 pin PCIe cable. You are still going to want to eventually get a new PSU if what you have it very old.
