Not money wise, but power wise, what would be the best out of a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 - 1.5GB and a ATI Radeon HD 5970 - 2GB,of course suggestions needed to see whether SLI or crossfire would beat this,oh and just two cards please,I just need to be ABSOLUTLEY sure in what I am buying, I really dont want to make the mistake like I made on my M11x...

Exactly, why settle for second best? It's time to chew those games up and spit them out without looking back, and without wondering if you maybe could have gotten something better. Crank up the...
Bit of overkill at that resolution but of course there are games out there that would need that to run properly at your resolution.
As you seem to want Nvidia i will leave AMD sugestions out and sugest you look at what 2 460's in SLI are capable of.
What games are you looking at here ?

Mactronix :)

A GTX480 will run just about everything at max settings at a resolution of 1680x1050. Before SLIing I had little to know issue acheiving the same task with a single 5850 which is about 20% worse then a GTX 480

WOW, 1680x1050 are you SERIOS???
Dude, 480 is an overkill for that resolution.

Probably one of my favorite quotes xD

I plan on playing many, many games,as my steam library is FULL of games I cannot fully enjoy due to my weak CPU,so I'm making a new rig which I dont want to have it outdated just moments after I make a purchase, although it seems like overkill, I'm tired of seeing a game, saying,"THAT LOOKS AWESOME",then wondering whether I can run it or not...As for games, the most heavy being Crysis,BFBC2,GTA IV,and Medal of Honor.

Crank up the settings and don't worry about your future upgrades, you'll already be covered. Another word for overkill is headroom; as in headroom to expand.
