So with 2018 coming to a close, I just recently I fixed up an old Dell XPS 410. This was a test to determine how far back you can go before games from 2018 become unplayable.
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700
GPU: Zotac GTX 1060 6GB
RAM: Mixed 4x1 GB
SSD: Kingston A400
HDD: Western Digital Blue 500 GB
PSU: Stock Seasonic 350W
In most games, I received average framerates of around 40-50 FPS at 1080p at ultra settings, with the CPU intensive games (Open World Games specifically) being marginally worse. The PC I used was quite obsolete, but was still able to play newer games aimed more at the GPU.
So my question to all of you out there: What is the minimum system you would recommend to someone going into 2019?
