What is the name of this adapter / is there an example of a link on Amazon etc.?
This is an adapter required to use a fan with 5v connector in 3.3v mode

I don't think there's anything fancy in this adapter - it's just a connector (female), two inches of wire, and another connector (two-pin) to plug into the RPi pins.

Where can I buy one? Need many so can't "DIY" it

I don't think you can buy one ready. Depending of "many" - you could find a shop to them for you. I would rather cut the connector from the fan side, and put a Molex connector there to plug into the RPi.

I'm not sure what that means, it's impossible to name that connector and find it for sale?

I visited both DigiKey and Mouser websites but am unable to find it - do you have the search terms that pull it up?

I am sorry - I don't have the time to search thru them. Call them, find a sales person, email him/her what you need. In end of all, it is your project, not mine.
