He seems to have shattered his skull on his computer desk"

I did want to note that you've done a really good thing.

Think of how many SAPS out there don't know any better and are running ES chips in their $3,000 rigs....

*edit* You're hellping to prevent people from selling ES chips to unsuspecting victims */edit*

does a reviewer or comapny who receives an ES from intel has to pay for it?
or are just "take it, test it, and send it back to me"?

Pentium D 965EE they could have sent him the whole tray and he would feel hosed on that deal. No seriously I believe that they did reward him for being honest and turning over the evidence. We will all know shortly...

Usually when you receive an ES direct form Intel you have to sign a NDA. Failure to follow the terms of the NDA can result in some big problems for you. But after the NDA expires, you can do what you want with the chip.

Yes I think is an AMD processor too xD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop teasing! tell us what you got!

is either a

X6800 brand new
or
QX6700 brand new

Im almost sure is a brand new 6800 but who knows! Intel might be so glad lordgeek reported this that they sent a qx6700.

BTW, he said he sent his package yesterday and was supposed to arrive today, and today he got the processor from Intel? Dont tell me Intel paid Same Day Shipping... 8O

Of course INTEL paid for next day shipping. The ES chips are INTEL property and should not float around on the open market. The fact they have proof in hand that someone was fencing stolen property is a big deal. LordGeek please end the suspense the natives grow restless.

What the hell are you talking about? An ES isn't stolen property. Matter of fact, you can sell an ES if you want, if you note the chip as an Engineering sample. I believe if you are a retailer, you can not sell ES's, but the point stands that its not stolen property.

Well guys .. here is what you have been waiting for ..

PICS of what I received from INTEL

A brand new RETAIL box of the Core 2 Extreme QX6700

stolen property would be if anyboby else than Intel right now would have a Penryn in their hands, because there is no ES released of Penryn yet.

But in the case of C2D and C2Q, any person/company that has an ES of conroe, is property of them. Intel release ES for people to test them. think of them as betatesters, same case with windows vista. So having an ES is not stolen property or a crime, is just very good luck that you have one :)

I HATE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats man, I hope you enjoy your new toy 😀
