Hello Everyone:

I have a custom PC being built - and the company has sent me some pictures of it during assembly. I am a little out of touch with the hardware scene and I am just curious as to what the little board is below the AMD backplate on the following image. I have outlined it in blue.

Picture of mystery component

I am just curious! I do not think it very important, possibly something to control the LED's maybe?

EDIT: I have uploaded a bigger picture - not great quality, but out of my control.

FURTHER EDIT:
To those who provided constructive answers—thank you! I’m confident now it’s an RGB/Fan controller.

Thanks!

That picture is too small to make anything out. Why not ask the ones building the PC?
I will see if I can get a bigger pic - but I would have thought it would be enough to convey the general gist of my question.

The company building my PC is quite large, and they automatically emailed photos during the assembly process. If I have any questions, I would need to raise a support ticket—but that feels like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut. Forums like this one are likely to provide answers much faster!

Looks like a fan and RGB hub to me. Some cases come with these included, or they could have added it in.

Sometimes the sledgehammer is the only appropriate tool for the job. Besides, without full information on exactly who is building the PC, and what case is being used, we in these forums are only guessing.
