What is wrong?

So I have an hp pavilion p7-1020 that I beefed up a little bit a while back. I have a N-Alvorix-RS880-uATX (Alvorix) motherboard and I just bought a AMD Phenom x6 1090t CPU and I installed it, but when I tried to boot up my computer it said that I had installed an unsupported CPU. I have no idea what's wrong. I would appreciate some help with this! Thanks!

Go back to the specifications and requirements.

Double check the documentation (motherboard and CPU) to ensure that you did indeed install a supported CPU. All the specifications must match.

Examine the AMD CPU and verify that it is indeed what you ordered.

Hopefully it was new and previously unused (not damaged by someone else) and is a legitimate product versus a counterfeit or some watered down version.

That motherboard does NOT support the Phenom x6 1090t. Sorry🙁

Most likely you need to do a BIOS update before using that new CPU.... in case that CPU is supported on that motherboard and HP roll out a new BIOS for it.

That motherboard does NOT support the Phenom x6 1090t.

On https://support.hp.com/ro-en/document/c02863020 first entry is: AMD Phenom II X6 10xxT Six-Core (Thuban core)
However motherboard say it is limited to 95W TDP and that CPU has 125W TDP....so that may be the problem.
