What kind of graphics card do i need for a compaq?

I got this game for my birthday , and was so super excited ! However, after installing it on my computer and starting it, it shut down and a box informing me that I needed to update my graphics appeared on the screen 🙁 . I have a compaq, which is just a terrible brand, but that's all I can afford 🙁 . It's getting close to money time, so what kind of graphic cards do I buy? Can this even be fixed?

Telling us it's a compaq is like saying "I have a chevy, what kind of engine do I need?".

There are hundreds if not thousands of different compaqs.
