What kind of router do i need

Hello,
we currently have a g router and it runs very slow. We have DSL and our computers run like we have dial up. We run 2 desktops, a laptop and wii. sometimes the kids have their DSI's on internet. My desktops have windows xp and vista. My laptop has windows 7 starter.

Is the problem reception or interference -- because they are more likely to be the cause than any particular shortcomings of g wireless.

I would take the usual wireless troubleshooting steps.

Raise the router above furniture level. Experiment with channels some work better than others depending on environs. If you can detect strong neighbouring wifi networks choose a channel 5 stops from the strongest neighbour.

Relocate cordless phone base, video sender away from router/computer.
