Question What kind PSU Converter I need ?

Hey guys. I have a old pc and i wanna use it as a media server. It's have 3570k Cpu (Stock - not overclocked), 2 x 8gb ddr3 module and single 7200 rpm 500 gb hdd. I have x-silence 400w Psu but it's have 4 pin connection for cpu and my mobo needs 8 pin connection. Should i use adapter ? I don't wanna spent any extra money cuz it's just hobby server. If i use adapter what kind adapter should i use ? Is it safe to use it 7/24 running ? I will add pictures from my psu and my mobo. Thanks for every answer!

It will usually run fine with just a 4 pin.

You do not need an adapter. You can plug the 4 pin into the 8 pin and it will work, 8 pin is only needed for overclocking.

Ohh i didn't know that thanks guys i will try it. How should i connect it attached to bottom, top or not attached and orianted to middle ? (sorry for my bad english i hope it was clear)
