Question What M.2 sockets to use

Hello,

I'm about to begin my first PC build, but can't seem to find a definitive answer for this. I've got 2 Samsung 990 pro ssds, 1tb which I plan to put the OS on along with smaller files, and 4tb which I plan to use for gaming/storage. I have a Gigabyte B650 Aorus elite V2 motherboard. There are 3 M.2 slots - M2A-CPU, M2B-CPU, and M2C_SB. Which ssd should go in which slot for the best overall performance?https://www.manua.ls/gigabyte/b650-aorus-elite-ax-v2/manual?p=5 Looking at the diagram it looks like M2B_CPU shares a lane with PCIex16 where the GPU is going, so I'm guessing I should avoid that? New to all of this, so any insight is appreciated!

Thanks! Which slot should I put my ssd for gaming then, M2B_CPU or M2C_SB? Is there a bottleneck by having it on the SB?

If you are installing Windows, do not insert another disk into your system.
You will finish the installation, turn off the computer, and then insert whatever disk you want.

Don't forget to remove the nylon from the disk cooler.
