[SOLVED] What memory should I get to go with a MSI MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI?

I am looking hard at the MSI MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI board and an Intel Core i7-10700 (non-K) CPU. Right now the difference in CPU price between K and non-K is around $100 and I don't plan to OC anyway.

I see the board supports DDR4 2933 RAM. What RAM should I look at so I don't waste anything on features or speeds I am not going to take advantage of?

I'm partial to Crucial and G.Skill, but I'm willing to look at others. Also, looking to get either 2 x 8GB or 4 x 4 GB for 16GB total and potentially 2 x 16GB or 4 x 8GB for 32GB total if it isn't crazy expensive (I like to play with VMs so the extra RAM helps).

Solution
Hm so you're buying a top shelf MB with the newest oc chipset and don't want to overclock neither cpu nor ram ... well ok. If you're not planning on overclocking there is no reason to buy anything faster than stated on the cpu so 2933Mhz. Something like G.Skill Flare X 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2933 CL14 is adequate. If you're a fan of shiny lightsKingston HyperX Predator RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2933 CL15 or Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-2933 CL16.

Thank you very much for the quick reply! I like the G.Skill, it looks nice and I'm not a shiny fan.

Apparently I was having a brain fart yesterday and forgot I could go to the RAM sites and run their configurator. Duh!
