What memory would work well with this motherboard?

Hello everyone!

I'm in the process of building my first PC.
I have been researching for a few months and have learned a lot.
I am still wary about purchasing the parts because I want to make sure that they work.

These are the two motherboards that I am looking at:
ASUS P7P55D Deluxe LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS P7P55D EVO LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard

Im thinking about going with the Deluxe.
The processor is an Intel Core i7-860 Lynnfield 2.8GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor
I will be running Windows 7 Professional 64bit

I am looking for memory (6 - 8 GB) but I do not know which kind I should get.
The board has 4 slots 240 pin
I prefer Corsair memory, but I am up to try other brands.

Thanks!

I may plan on overclocking in the future, but for now no. And should I just buy 2 4GB with 2X 2GB memory each or just one 8 GB memory with 2X 4GB memory?

When you are looking at this ram make sure you see what people have to say in the reviews at newegg. Take some things with a grain of salt, but when you see something like 5 DOA comments I would steer clear.

So if I were to buy two of the patriot ram that would total 8GB of memory. Is it ok to have 4 sticks even if they did not come as 4?

You can even have two different brands and sizes if you want. But they have to be paired cause you have dual channel. So on the blue slots match em and on the black slots match em (depending on the color on the board)
