Oh yes, I remmeber looking at that one. The trouble is, is that I don't have the money for a GPU at the moment...so will have to buy main parts and save up for 750ti later ;-(

Motherboards Do Not Have Any Impact On Performance Or Fps, In Way Noticable Way. So Technically You Dont Have To Spend $100 On A Motherboard. Finding A $40 That Supports That Fx6300 Socket Is Fine. Try To Find Good Brands Like MSI, Gigabyte and Asrock, As They Are Reliable. Try Bundling Because Its Way More Cheaper, Motherboards Are Listed Below:
Bundling Options: http://www.microcenter.com/site/products/amd_bundles.aspx
Low Cost: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130864
Mid Range: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130849
High End: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130864

Then your best option probably the Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 with its integrated ATI Radeon HD 3000 Graphics. However overclocking is limited and you shouldn't upgrade to an 8 core FX CPU because of the 4+1 phase VRM. The only decent motherboard suggested by Mac070 is the MSI 970A SLI Krait Edition (the MSI 970 Gaming AM3+is better); don't even consider the other ones that are worse than the Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 and require a discrete GPU.

I Hope By Cheaping Out Mean Getting A Biostar Motherboard or Like A $30 Board . As long as the brand is reliable , it's fine . You don't have to spend $100 on a board . Just find a good brand board that's going to have the features you Want and supports the socket . Obviously in a $400 build ypurnot going to buy a board for $100 .

You won't spend $100, but a really cheap motherboard often has a weak VMR that causes throttling. It's less of an issue with the FX-6300, but when people upgrade to an 8 core or overclock the CPU, then they wonder why their system doesn't meet performance expectations. I wouldn't recommend any AMD motherboard with a 4+1 VRM that doesn't even have a heat sink to cool the VRM; avoid them for any 8 core FX.
