What motherboard would i need in my situation?

Recently, i purchased a AMD FX-8350 processor (4.0ghz, 8 core) and i tried replacing my current one(AMD FX-6410) but the new processor was to big to fit in the motherboard. I could always return the processor but i was really looking forward to its performance and playing with it. Right now i have a HP Pavilion 500-424 PC and im looking for a motherboard which could be compatible with my computer and my new processor at the same time, I do kind of care about price, under 120 would be fine but if its not i would take the idea, thanks

you need an am3+ socket mobo and good heat sinks, but more importantly you need a graphics card if you dont have one already as your new cpu has no integrated graphics

Yah i wouldn't recommend putting an 8350 in some hp OEM motherboard even if it did fit, it will probably cook that motherboard its not designed for a chip like the 8350.

1st your PC ( HP Pavilion 500-424PC ) has the A8-6410 cpu, which is soldered on a motherboard. Because that the processor is not upgradable. Sorry. The fx8350 will not fit that HP pc.

HP Pavilion 500-424 Desktop has Form factor: mini-ITX size motherboard. The case is too small for compatible motherboards for the FX-8350.

You might look into buying a bare PC case.
