I was planning to build my computer for a while and had my parts picked out for my needs. At my work they had extra computers and they gave me one. It's not a really high spec computer but i saw some parts that got me interested in reusing for my build to save money. The parts are a little dusty from not being used in a whille. The computer IT here told me that this computer has got the the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH twice so IDK if I should touch it or not.

This is my build that was going to build.

These are the parts of the computer that could benefit me.

As to the new parts list... there's no reason to buy a wired network adapter. The MB comes with one.

As to the old PC... Have you fired it up to see what works and what doesn't? Does the MB have memory and CPU installed? BSOD can be anything from software to hardware. See if it will boot to BIOS. If it looks good at that stage, make a disk from the downloadable .ISO file, and boot to memtest. Have it run at least one full pass on each stick of memory individually in the first DIMM slot.

If you are just stuck with the MB and no CPU/memory, there's not much you can do to verify the condition. If you feel it's worth it, you could try the optical drive, fan controller, fans, card reader in your current PC. If the case is in good shape, it could sell on ebay for a few bucks unless you want to use it yourself.

I tested out the memory and its really not worth keeping. Thanks for telling me about the network adapter I didn't know that. I'm just going to keep the optical drive and sell the rest. Thanks for your help.
