What Percentage of People Build vs Prebuilt?

The vast majority of PC's are 'prebuilt'. Businesses, all those things you see in Walmart, etc, etc.
Building your own is a hobby.

Just like modding your car, or replacing a broken toilet. Few do it themselves.
But for those that do, the satisfaction is just as much a part of it as anything else.

Is going to a shop and telling them i want these components and having them assemble everything for us also considered custom? I did that last time since i didn't know how to assemble a PC. Still way better than buying prebuilt and much cheaper too except the shopkeepers margin of about $50.

IDK about that. Shops building something is "prebuilt", but if you come in with parts or say I want these parts then it's custom? I know businesses buy way more machines then builders build, and that doesn't count the people who go to Walmart, Bestbuy, etc and buy stuff.
