Building a box with an ABIT Kv8 pro and an Athlon 64 3000+. When I turn it on I get one long beep and three shorts. Apparently there are two different beepcode systems... one says it is a memory error, the other says it is a video card problem. Anyone know which applies with this mobo?
I have now tried two different videocards so I am leaning toward the memory problem. I have one DIMM of 512 megs Crucial RAM PC3200. I tried putting it in each slot, didn't make a difference. I think this memory is supposed to be compatible with this mobo! But now i'm not sure what's going on.
Any advice would be much appreciated -- thanks.
