Please keep it to 1 thread.
I am looking forward to buy rtx 4080 or 4090. What Psu will be perfect. I have my eyes on 2 of them, Corsair Rm1000x and Nzxt c1000 Which one is better or else any other brand which is much efficient.
Thank you

4070TI vs a 4090 is almost 1000 bucks, save the 1000 bucks, and buy a 5070TI when it comes out.

I think most of the time your better offf doing frequent upgrades and spending the same money, instead of trying to future proof.

When the 5070TI comes out sell your 4070TI and combine it with the 1000 you saved. you might be able to get a 5080.

sorry for the late reply but will 5070ti will release any time soon becoz it will take years imo as 40 series is still new in the market and i wont be upgrading my pc with this big amount of money in future the reason i wanna maxout. maybe you understood what i am trying to say.

I have 1440p 240hz monitor and i play storymode and demanding games like cyberpunk withcher 3
And also wanted to ask will corsair rm1000e goorld for rtx 4090?

In which case either card is a good choice from a performance perspective, just not a price perspective. As for the RM1000e I don’t know enough about the quality of that model, probably a good choice but best let one of the PSU experts confirm. A high quality 1000w would do the job.

I have a 3080 for 1440p 240Hz it does the job but it’s nowhere near overpowered. Had the 4080 been more reasonably priced I would have upgraded but at its current price the performance gain is not worth the cost. If I am spending that much I want a bigger boost in performance so will probably end up waiting for 5000 series unless a great deal on a 4080 comes up this year. As for the 4090 while I could afford it I don’t want to, it’s just too much for gaming for something that will be outperformed by next gen cards for much less money and will likely loose £1k value by that time, it just seems like a bad deal.

As I said, good performance but bad value. I bought my 3080 at launch for £754 so using your figure which is lower than the UK prices the new ‘80 card is still 50% higher. For me paying 50% more for an extra 40% performance is bad value but if I didn’t have a high end gpu already then I would buy a 4080.

but it will be future proof for me as i will upgrade my monitor if possible. so rm1000e will be good?

There is little info about the RM1000e series. The RM1000x is very well reviewed. The latest versions are always well received.

The RM1000x is likely a better product. It comes with a 10 year warranty. The RM1000e only comes with 7 years and is $10 cheaper. The unit is also shorter. I imagine they are cutting corners. If you are going to spend the princely sum of a 4090, don't gamble over $10. Get the better supply. Either this or a top tier seasonic.
