What resolution monitor for build?

Puttin together a rig for friend. Avid WoW player and also wants to play some modern stuff like mgs5.

Cpu= i5 3570 or i7 3770
Gpu = hd radeon 7870
RAM = 8gb ddr3 1600

Need a monitor for him. Was thinkin an lg for like $200-300 @ 21:9.

Opinions?

I have the same GPU, stick with a 1080p 16:9 monitor (although i have a 16:10 monitor 😛).
