What should i do to my setup?

I want to do a birthday upgrade to my setup and to be honest idk what to do, i have a core i5 6500 @ 4.5 ghz and a 980Ti watercooled and massively overclocked so i dont have a problem with my pc i also got an SSD and i have a 1080p 23 inch monitor, what do you think i should do? Get an oculus, upgrade monitor,cpu,gpu, or what do u think i should do????

Get a 1440p 144Hz monitor. Your GTX 980Ti will handle 1440p perfectly especially if it is massivly Overclocked.

Monitor unless you're happy with 1080p. If you like listening to music perhaps consider a headphone/speaker upgrade (depending on what you currently have).

the thing is i am happy with my monitor because thats enough for me and my audio game is pretty good, i was thinking about x99 is it a huge increase from my 4.5 i5-6500?

If you're only gaming I can't advise going to the X99 platform.

As ajpaolello said if you are mainly gaming dont waste your money on a X99 system because your i5 6500 is enough for gaming. But if you do photo/video editing and time is an important factor you will take advantage of a X99 system. I think its best to save your money and upgrade your rig when it gets old.
