What should i upgrade first? Gpu or Cpu

Hi guys I was wonder what part is should upgrade first. I currently have a Rx 480 8gb and a fx 8350 and 16 gb of ram.i have enough money to buy a i-5 7600 with a good motherboard and 16 gb of ram or i can buy a 1070. I want to play games like the witched 3 and destiny 2. and i was wondering if i should get i5 7600k or i5 7500.

Don't upgrade anything, it is waste of money on buying something that is not worth it. Your build is very good, it's at recommened requirements of your games.

A CPU upgrade is what you need. You will see far greater performance than upgrading to a 1070. Don't get me wrong, you will get a performance boost with a 1070 but the CPU is the oldest thing and many of the new games are very CPU intensive.

Between the i5 7500, 7600 and 7600k and if money was not an issue, I would choose the k version hands down. You can easily OC at a very good speed for most games.

Keep in mind that if you upgrade CPU to a 7th gen you will also need to upgrade motherboard and RAM.

i5 is better than FX, but games are starting to support more than 4 threads, so FX will be not so worse from i5 in modern gaming titles. It is better to buy i5 than FX as new, but to upgrade from FX to i5, it isn't very good idea, because you need to spend $200 on new motherboard and RAM and that is really not worth it. And why not upgrade to Ryzen, if OP really need so much to uprade, when there's Ryzen 5 1600 which offers 12 threads instead of 4 for same price? Btw it has 70% better multithreaded performance than i5 7600k.

I would take an i5 setup over the FX all day long.
