i have the caramendansen albumn :lol:
while a bit on the odd side, its very upbeat electronica which makes it easy listening.
in fact, i heard it so much that i ended up looking for the band name.

cant say i'm a BSB fan at all. boybands are not my thing.
cant say i'm a J5 fan either, however i do like many songs by MJ and i highly respect him as a solo artist.
i have all of queens greatest hits. good classic rock.
cant say i'm a pink floyd fan. i've always thought the wall was way too slow and only had a short section which was half decent.
never heard of the last artist though i've listened to stuff like that often enough.

3oh3! while certainly a bit punk/pop, not a bad band

[video="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4s6H4ku6ZY"][/video]
fareastmovement a little electronica inspired asian music

[video="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EefPcht54c"][/video]
marilyn manson certainly odd, dark, twisted but also somehow easy to listen to.

[video="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NteVmdoo1yI"][/video]
rammstein its hard to pass up some good euro-rockmetal. quite a different feel than american groups.

[video="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aY2OTQtoeVY"][/video]
ayumi hamasaki its hard to say no to a pop idol with more popularity than the great western singers like madonna. her techno, rock and soft songs are all good.

Greetz to all , glad to see this thread still going :)
You certainly listen to a wide variety of music ssddx :)
I have not been about for a long time due to a new baby girl in the house , am loving being a dad again :)

Not sure what genre they fit into these day's , maybe someone can help me

@mp :rofl:

i generally can listen to anything but slow country, excessive amounts of classical and most bad rap. everything else is generally fair game.

i do typically listen to electronica, rock and alternative the most though.

---

sounds like you like "vocal trance" to me http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vocal_trance sometimes called trance anthems. these typically focus heavily on vocals as the driving force for the music and have the electronic music as backup.

many other electronic genres may use vocals but often use the music as the primary focus with vocals for backup and effect.

I don't know if anyone on this thread watches anime besides ssddx, but I found this youtube channel which has jazz and classical covers of popular anime songs, and they are awesome!

Some electronica:

Rhodz- Dream Fiction

[video="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMN576n91Lc"][/video]

I like it because it has an easy going intro and smoothly transitions to a catchy beat. Anyone know of a similar song?

Skrux Being Human T-Mass Remix

[video="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuQSIwLCfWE"][/video]

Crystal Skies - Lost In The Sky (feat. The Eden Project), especially like this song. All the variety of sound effects, 3D like feeling, vocals, it's just beautiful. Soundcloud has a higher quality version although the album art could be considered offensive on this forum.

[video="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuptcDfCrtM"][/video]

Also I recently saw the Ghost in the Shell series. This OST was spectacular from Stand Alone Complex:

agreed, the music in SAC was quite well done. it was mastered by yoko kanno which is well known and respected.

it seems that you're a fan of trance, minimal techno and trance-dubstep / trance-techno.... though the various genres of electronica intermix and its hard to make the call on what is what anymore.

here is an oddity i've come across. at first its odd but somehow likable.

just replace the video url with the link to yours. if you use the full-edit or full-response (not the quick response at the bottom of the thread) page you will see a video button you can use as well.

found about about egoist from watching guilty crown (which i stopped midway through because it turned down an odd confusing path). anyway...

[video="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPVZgdxFxAo"][/video]

an obscure anime about metal music also has very catchy (although often not good language) songs. its a hilarious watch.

Definitely. I love Clapton, truly a legend. I'm not really a rap fan but that second song is pretty catchy. Never heard of Luke Christopher in my life lol.

Ahh Egoist. I absolutely loved their music along with Supercell's in Guilty Crown. Even though the story didn't make much sense I would go back and finish it just for the music and artwork. I remember it getting confusing half way through, the ending really isn't any different. I didn't know their music was also in the Future Diary.

I have heard that Detroit Metal City is a different one, need to give it a watch sometime.

i can't type the code or it would display the video like in the above posts.

i cannot put it in the CODE tags because it completely changes the code to something completely different. the above image code was placed in code tags and changes to below
Code:
[video="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxAiUq8yn34"][/video]

having it as an image was the easiest way of giving you the code correctly.

and the code is correct.. i copied the code from razerz's post and you can see it works fine (i also used the same code for every video in this thread).

---

agreed, GC is screwed up but i really enjoyed the songs - the vocals were beautiful (i'm a sucker for catchy instrumentals/electronic backgrounds combined with female vocals)

DMC is.......different. the artwork is wonky and of different resolutions. the story is completely whacked. but... i love it. its a must watch (i own it on dvd). you will laugh your butt off.

This is mix has more stuff like eminem: I like the first song pretty good

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrBB8UdHp4A

I honestly like any genre of song, from hardstyle and nightcore to chillstep and jazz.
