Hello, Im thinking of upgrading my PC by getting an SSD.

I am using the Asus Prime Z490-A motherboard and im looking for a 256GB SSD .

Id like to know what one is suitable for my pc and where am i supposed to put it? My budget is £100 , thank you

Solution
where you would place a 2.5" SATA SSD depends on your case.
it's manufacturer product page may show images with drive placement options.
and it would also be documented in the manual.

where you would place an NVMe M.2 drive would depend on the available motherboard slots.
also listed in the motherboard manual.

I dont want a sata ssd, I want an M2 ssd that goes in the motherboard. Id like to know what M2 ssd is suitable for my motherboard as i know there are different types and im not familiar with such stuff

So replace your current 128GB SSD with a 1TB Samsung 970 EVO.

Your "1TB HDD" is not 'M.2'.
They are not* My bad hence why i said i wanted M.2 ones.

Ive never had an m.2 ssd and it seems more practical as its smaller and goes into the mobo. I have windows installed onto that 128gb one and im not sure how to move everything from it to the new one if i get one.. I would just like to know what m.2 ssd would fit my mobo and where to put it
