Question What to do about long movies

Just bought two 20TB HDD's and I'm beginning to digitize my movie collection, but there's an issue with The Lord of the Rings. See, I have the extended editions and each film is split onto two disks. Is there a way I could combine those files to make it one long movie? Or no? Also, sorry if this is the wrong place, them taking up a load of space just seemed like the most logical place to ask this.

Certain file formats can easily be combined others can not.

As said...a playlist should go from 1 to 2 seamlessly.
Either playing in VLC or Plex.

There are software programs that should easily be able to combine 2 MP4 files into one, with no further loss in quality.

Easy Peasy. I've been using MKVToolnix for years. Very fast.

You might need to extract the videos from the two ISOs to MKV or MP4 first.
