I have reported a duplicate place on Google Maps and showed the correct location by dragging the marker and correcting the address.
In this case, it is an internationally-known landmark with its own website and Wikipedia page.
Still, Google did not correct the issue by saying "Your edit couldn't be verified".
Is there no redress mechanism? Does Google wish to persist in its error?
