I have disassembled an old laptop since the case was irreparably damaged. I am considering re-using the components:
The entire device was based on a Clevo W551EU Barebone.
The components, while old, are still good for office work, and my basic requirements haven't changed. I am wondering whether they can be re-used for building either
(a) a new backup laptop from scratch on a budget
(b) or a new Mini PC
It's been a while since I built a Desktop PC. I am not even sure whether there are still motherboards for Ivy Bridge processors.
Do you have suggestions where to look for (a) barebone laptops or (b) compatible motherboards for mini PC? In both cases, I don't even know what and where to search.
FYI:
Budget: below 500$ / 500 EUR
Purpose: office
Location: Western Europe
All other specifications not settled yet, this is just a free time thing.
