What was that strategy game?

We bought a computer around 2000 and it had a demo of a strategy game.

It was like Age of Empires but in the future. You started with a main building and if you built a new building some aeroplanes or squadrons flown out from the main building and they built up the building. I think it had a green icon with a pentagon or something but I'm not shure.

That's everything I remember. Sorry for the english.

Could be a number of them... StarCraft, KKnD, Dark Colony, Total Annihilation, Dark Reign.... Love them all back in the day ^_^
