I’m pretty sure the first video game I ever played with either Mario or Donkey Kong Country. Not too sure which one I played first, but it was probably Mario. Why do I remember it? Because it was fun and I enjoyed them, especially Donkey Kong country which I have fond memories playing. I remember playing the games from as young an age as five.

My first game was on Sonyca 2, Transformers. I really loved playing it. Even though I was pretty old at the time. After that I went to play Assassin, and played all series of the game, I really admire this game.

LOL! We found the one person who actually bought the game!

Actually, the game apparently didn't sell that bad initially. According to Wikipedia, it managed to be the 8th best-selling game for the Atari 2600, with around 2.7 million copies sold, although I'm not sure how accurate that number is. A lot of cartridges were apparently returned or sold on clearance, as the game wasn't considered particularly good, and an even larger number may have gone unsold, as Atari vastly overestimated how many people were going to buy it.

I think the very first game i remember loving is need for Speed Underground 2, to this day i love the JDM tuner culture, drifting and neon lights, underground to was the fusion of all of them for me.

I'm an avid gamer, but I've been trying to think of the first games I remember playing and really loved. I remember sneaking into my cousins dad's study to boot up his mac to play Monkey Island, where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? And Myst (which I wasn't very good at). If you're a gamer, what do you remember playing and why?

Pitfall and pong on Atari was the first and very memorable but that was on a cousin’s console. There was not much time spent on those. We never afforded the gaming consoles. Although, a few years later my mom splurged on me. She purchased me my only ask that year…that decade…an actual computer, along with my first game. The game was King’s Quest! And it was on my very own computer, the IBM PCjr. I was either 12 or just turning 13. Hours and hours playing that game and months and months for her to pay it off. I learned some BASIC programming but mainly it was for gaming.
During that same time my good friend got him a Commodore 64. We played text based RPG games, that displayed some picture type graphics, that went along with the adventure. The game was “The Bard’s Tale”. We also played the first Ultima that was actually a re-release from 1981 (I don’t think we knew that back then). It was a much better version than the original, from what I have read, so we had it good. Much better than what gaming was prior to those machines.

Kabuki play was the first game I have played back in 2005. The UI of this game was fantastic. The characters were designed like kabuki there characters. These characters were in Japanese kabuki masks. It was a joker and guy fawkes mask.

Solitaire on Windows XP =]
I saw my grandmother having a nice game of cards when I was a kiddo and decided to try it too. Of course I didn't knew what I had to do, all I did was to randomly move the cards. Being bored of doing absolutely nothing, I tried pinbal, and what a great discovery that was.

Atari Pong. Pole position (arcade). Never a big gamer but have my favorites that on the most part are ancient.

I was 10 years old in 1999 and had just recently started playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I was mesmerized by everything, as dated as it all looks now in 2016. For 1999 on a console, it was top-notch. Am I blinded by nostalgia right now? You bet!

My favorite place in the game was Lon Lon Ranch. It had a relaxed, cozy country feel, had farm animals, and nice people. One of those people was Malon, the daughter of Talon, the ranch owner. She stood around, happily singing the song of the area, and was immediately entrancing to the 10-year-old me, like a siren who wouldn’t lead anyone to their doom.

The first video game I played was Tetris. I used to be able to play it for 5 hours nonstop, but I don't think kids today can play it for even an hour because they have too many alternatives. Almost every kid in the house has a powerful computer or console. I rarely play computer games as I don't have much free time. My favorite game at the moment is free jigsaw puzzles. Sometimes we compete with friends to see who can assemble a puzzle faster.

Already posted about 1st. The 1st serios game was F-18 Interceptor written for the Amiga later ported to the PC. Rob Dinnerman jumped ship to the PC. The Amiga version has a strange last mission. Dinnerman never completed the Amiga version. Completed this game so many times. Now the graphics makes me giggle. I still play it from time to time using the Amiga forever emulator. A bit more spunky than running it on a 68000. LoL My kids were infants. Now one just turned 40.

99% sure my first game was Wolfenstein 3D, on MS DOS on my dad's first pc when I was a kid.
I also remember rebooting the pc after every time I completed the first level, because the second level was too scary lol

Not just my first video game, but my first memory of anything in my life: F-Zero.
My dad came home from work with a Super Nintendo on its launch day, with F-Zero and Super Mario World (but I only remember playing the former that day.) I was 3 years old. Been gaming non-stop ever since. : P
