There are two 2k 27in G-Sync monitors; the ROG Swift and the ACER IPS both @$799. If you have the $ get the ACER.

20fps is not good on any system, G-Sync does have a decent algorithm when fps go below 30hz which is the monitors bottom.

Ideally you'll want to average 70+ fps with a minimum of 50. 30s and 40s are playable and I used to never say that before G-sync, motion clarity goes down with lower fps. In game videos that dip or are locked @ 30fps look a lot better.

Once you see a game in the high fps/hz you won't want to go back as the motion clarity only gets better and better as your fps/hz go up.
Maybe getting some more RAM sticks, though your systam seems pretty solid as it is. If you do get more RAM sticks make sure it's the same model as what you currently have. Also another SSD would be nice only if you want to put extra programs/games on it.

would be kind of pointless as that GPU is not old at all and on high end
your system is fine as it is any upgrades are pretty much going to just waste money.
if you must get like new speakers or some peripherals

Thanks guys. i just read about gsync and it sounds interesting as im using the standard 60mhz monitor. Have you used a gsync monitor before? Is the difference noticeble? Which monitors can you recommend?

Yeah It's great, I just saw I forgot to type the word monitor (edited). I have the AOC (they only have one) it's amazing. It's a 24" 1080p 144hz that can be had for $400 if you wait for a sale. There are other high end ones that are larger, have a higher resolution but they are way more expensive.

The best part is how it deals with a variable fps which happens with any game and really happens on newer games that require higher processing. You'll want to keep fps high to enjoy the effects as motion is smooth and clear. It also does well with lower fps but it really shines in the high fps range from 70+.

Sounds great. The thing is if i decide to change my monitor it has to be a 27' 1440p. are there any good monitors with gsync that meet my needs?

So you are saying that lets say even low 20fps is not going to feel like more than 20fps?

Both of them get brilliant reviews but it cant be different for that kind of money. From what ive read now ips panel seems to be a big advantage for Acer, but on the other hand response time in asus is better. Asus is also cheaper where i live.

Thanks for clearing it out for me. Looks like i have to go for one of those monitors and wait till i upgrade my rig. Right now im using 21' aoc monitor so i hope it will be a big boost for me.

Don't forget ACER also has a 27" 144hz G-sync 1080p which will give the same experience for much less, you'll get higher FPS @ 1080p vs 2k and FPS is what the monitor needs to amaze. Why not same some money?

Note: G-sync is amazing and you can't go wrong with any of these panels.
