Question What's fastest way to change both my IP address and device ID?

My Windows 10 desktop PC is currently connected via ethernet cable to my wireless router. What's the best/easiest method to force a new IP address and device ID? Would rebooting my router accomplish this? Would upgrading to Windows 11 give me a new device ID?

I got unfairly banned from reddit for posting a completely normal comment (seems to happen a lot these days), and it looks like they're banning based on IP address so every new account I make gets immediately banned.

PC's network mac address is fixed. Why do you need a new device id / iP? Are you blocked?

I tried making a new account using a VPN, and it got banned after a few hours. So I suspect they're banning based on device and not only IP.

There's FAR more than just IP addresses involved in such bans. However, we don't allow discussion of such here. Give it a rest, you'll only dig yourself in deeper.
