Whats the best Amd fx Cpu

I'm looking to get the fx processors, but they have so many models I don't know which one to choose.
I will be doing some bf3 and skyrim, and basic web browsing and YouTube. I do not want to overclock and I'm not sure if I should choose the 4 core or six core.

I also would like to pair it with this motherboard GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD5 AM3+ AMD 990FX. Is it good? im looking or a black and blue mobo.

Someone said I didn't need a motherboard this expensive if I wasn't going to overclock, can you suggest a good motherboard that is cheaper that will suit my needs that is black and blue(that doesn't really have that ugly brown color.)

It's cheaper. I don't see any brown on it... The M5A97 series is mostly black and blue though, I'd look through those, they're great motherboards, and I'd suggest them anyways.

i have a case that has a window, which is better GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD5 AM3+
MSI 990FXA-GD80 V2 AM3+

The gigabyte unless you plan to stay std CPU clocks on the MSI.

yes, the actual board is brown, i think its called pcb. some have it all black

It looks black to me, but maybe blue wouldn't affect the appearance like that? Its a pretty dark brown in the first place.

ok cool, im going with the fx 6300 and i will not be overclocking. I will also have the corsair vengeance 1600 pro, are those compatible?
Also im still trying to figure out what graphics card im going with. right now i have a gtx 550ti.

FX6300 is no more current than 2500K!!! It is slower at everything, it only supports PCIe ver 2.0 like the 2500K! So WHY???? What do you use your computer for? If only internet get a pad!

Well for 1 i had bought it off someone and i would like the experience of building one myself. What is current for the fx series?
