Whats the best Gaming RAM for my ASUS H97M PLUS Mainboard?

So I heard I shot myself in the foot when I bought this board because it won't support higher than 1600mhz RAM. And recent games are proving that faster ram can give huge performance gains like the latest tomb raider for example.

then I read about low CAS ram at 1600mhz can be equal to 2400mhz RAM.

BUT is it equal when it comes to Gaming? me thinks not. Looks like I screwed myself considering I was aiming for some future proofing on this board. I got a deal on this which is why I didn't buy the Z97 but I should have I guess....

Remember, not having enough ram is worse then having slower ram. Make sure you buy enough for your needs.
