What's the best GPU I can use with an AMD a10-5700 without bottlenecking?

I have around $300 and I am wondering what the best GPU I can get without bottlenecking. I am looking to play games similar to GTA V at around low to medium settings at at least 45-60 fps while being able to record. Thanks for the help!

a10 5700 will bottleneck any new card in the market. Probalbly get the r7 360 or r7 460. Getting a faster GPU will not make sense. so dont invest to much on a graphic card. I agree on the RX 460, and you will be at mostly medium settings. Recording on top of that with a processor that is kind of weak, may be a stretch but if you can do the recording to a different hard drive than you are gaming off of that will be a HUGE benefit.

The upgrades available for that aren't worth it. You're better off building a new system.

I'll disagree & suggest the 3gb 1060 or the RX 470 - whichever you can find cheapest.

If you're prepared to use the inbuilt shadow play or raptor recording/streaming features there's virtually no fps loss.

While there's no doubt that your CPU will limit both these cards & you're going to be sitting mid 40s the majority of the time fps wise my suggestion is for future proofing as much as anything else & also for the fact you'll be able to ramp up graphics settings to high easily.

Yes the 470 is $72 more than the 460 but absolutely worth it.

Ever upgrade it'll carry over to a new system well & should be strong enough for the next 2 years.

If your board is fm2+ then that allows you the 880k in budget aswell.

Your motherboard model .
Fm2 & fm2+ are similar sockets , fm2+ ia backwards compatible with fm2 CPUs but not the other way around.

Your 5700 is an older fm2 CPU
The 880k is fm2+

Your motherboard could be either.

I'm not home but I looked up my PC and it is an fm2. I could upgrade my motherboard tho. I just really don't wanna build a new pc

Yes, it's a pre built my dad gifted it to me a while back. I am a high school student and don't have enough to build a new pc but enough to upgrade.

Makes things more complicated now mate.

1. That case has very stunted cooling/airflow
2. You 100% need a new PSU - the unit in those is a 300 w bestec with a 17a 12v rail - suffice to say it won't run any GPU worth having.

Yes I'm USA and I have a better PSU (CORSAIR CX-M series CX750M 750W 80 PLUS BRONZE)that someone in my family bought me me so that's fine. I'm not sure why they got it for me but they did so that makes me happy.
