whats the fastest CPU for a P5KPL-CM Asus motherboard?

currently have a E5300 - 2.6ghz on it, and would like to upgrade to handle the new games on the market

The Core 2 Quad Q9xxx cpus will fit and would be a big upgrade, but even they are still old. You're probably better off upgrading your mobo too and getting something new.
