What's the point of a 1600W PSU?

I dont remember much from a Inconvienent Truth,But i do remember him blaming someone or something for global warming while hes flying in his own private jet.

Well actually, Warcraft 3 wasn't that bad in my opinion. The Axis and Allies maps were quite fun, if you had a computer capable of running them (for those of you that don't know, think about the largest SupCom maps).
But WoW needs to die. hard.

A 1200w PSU is very often used for multi-GPU and processor systems, so a 1600w PSU doesn't appear to be too much of a stretch, particularly with systems like Skulltrial coming out.

I've seen 6000w PSUs for huge server systems.

Is it really that demanding? If you try to play supcom on the largest map in XP, any pc will crash because it surpasses the 2GB limit for XP.

nothing wrong with warcraft 3, that was actually pretty good, i never went online with it though, were the axis and ally maps any good, were they kind of like the use map setting maps for warcraft 2 battle.net edition or starcraft?

He also used a Macbook and at the time the movie was released, Apple was known for using non-environmental friendly materials in their laptops. I laughed at that.

The Axis and Allies maps used hacked sizes so the maps were ridiculously big. They maybe weren't as large as the largest SupCom ones, but they were HUGE. Yeah, They were like the use map settings games. Those games are basically the only ones people played. It required some extreme multi-tasking.
As for memory, Warcraft 3 didn't take up the same amount of memory mile for mile as SupCom.

Theres also other things like phase that can take over 300watts for a single unit for cooling a CPU.

Skulltrail with dual 4ghz cpu's, a couple of ultras, it all adds up. Plus you'd want some room left so it's not shooting the fan up to max.

Nothing! It's stupid. They will slowly go away as power consumption of PC's continue to go down. If you overclocked CPU to **** and ran 4 GPU's you would not need that. It's just more waste, for those of us that continue to be wasteful people. A friend of mine was convinced that his PC's used little power, so he kept his media center PC, office PC, and graphic design PC on 24/7. I hassled them to shut off there PC's when not is use, including there peripherals. There power bill droped by almost a 100 bucks a month. 😵 wow eh. PC power usage is going through a revolution right now and will be way better by the end of decade.

Aye. It's a pure marketing joke to build such a device.

Or, for the half-informed people out there (lots and lots of them), who just get whatever has the biggest number. And then make their high-end gaming rig running slower than a 3 year old office PC by installing lots of "tuning" apps and any junk from dozens of cheap PC magazines.
