Hey everyone,
I have a question, well questions for all of you guru's out there. Firstly let me give you my specs, to make things easier:
AMD FX-8350 + NZXT Kraken x60 liquid cooling
Asus M5A99FX Pro R 2.0
Patriot 8GB RAM (2x4GB Dual Channel)
Sapphire R9 290
128GB ADATA SSD
500GB WD HD
Corsair 750w PSU 80+ Gold
Corsair Sentry Mesh Fan Controller
Windows 7 64bit
No O.C. on anything. My temps seem to be normal and are as follows:
AMD FX-8350 - Idle 8-10c Full - 28-31c
Asus M5A99FX Pro R 2.0 - 26-28c
Sapphire R9 290 - Idle 38-40c Full 68-75c (it says they can go up to 95c)
SSD/HD - 28-29c
Now! My problem.
My system seems to sometimes "hang" or freeze right up. I've gotten a few blue screens, and some error messages. If I go into Event Viewer, my system is plagued with critical/warnings (this is still after a fresh OS install btw) It seems to do it more when I leave my PC and it goes into sleep/hibernate. When I resume windows, that's usually where it "hangs", bluescreens, or just locks right up. It usually restarts, then asks if I want to boot Windows normally, or in Safe Mode. All of my parts I have bought from Canada computers, except the video card. I'm worried it may be the card, and I bought it private so I cannot return it. I haven't experienced any artifacts in game or on desktop/no weird colours. I have tried the following:
Setting hard drive sleep to 0 (never)
Roll-back drivers/re-install drivers
Installed Windows - same thing happened, used a different disk to load - still getting problems.
Installed WhoCrashed, seems like I'm getting this:
This was probably caused by the following module: atikmdag.sys (atikmdag+0x28ECE)
Bugcheck code: 0xA0000001 (0x5, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0)
Error: CUSTOM_ERROR
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\atikmdag.sys
product: ATI Radeon Family
company: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
description: ATI Radeon Kernel Mode Driver
It seems to do it randomly, It's hard to re-create it again and again.
Any advice will help, I put a lot of money into this PC, and it would be nice for it to just work.
If you need anymore info please ask! And apologies for the novel of a post.
Thanks!
