What's wrong with my Skyrim?

So guys, I got a new laptop for Christmas and one of the first games i ever bought was Skyrim. After downloading it, I was put into the skyrim launcher but after pressing play, nothing happens! I have re-installed it many times but it just doesn't start! After much research, I think i may of found the problem but solving it is a mystery to me so I thought the geniuses (You guys) could help me!

I think the problem is my data files. I have never installed mods but in the launcher the data files section is empty. Absolutely empty.

Any help / solutions would be greatly appreciated.

PS: My PC has the required specs.

Yeah it doesn't meet the requirements, it has a lower IGPU than required. Sorry

wait i got it working. it was somethingto do with system32/d3dx42. had to reinstall it
