Athlon 3000 and a vanilla 6800. Currently 1Gb or RAM but thinking of buying another 1Gb to let X3 run smoother. Should really upgrade the GPU sometime soon but I'm skint.

Oooh a great question (ya I noe I have a bad rig):

Well, let's see... You only want the CPU and video card, though I'll add the RAM as well.[*:ccf58fff6c]AMD Athlon64 2800+ - Original Clawhammer core, (1600MHz HTT, socket 754, 512KB L2 cache) OC'ed to 2.0GHz from 1.8GHz stock. Using cheap, generic cooling. The Hyper-Transport link is at the same x4 multiplier, OC'ed to 1.78GHz.
[*:ccf58fff6c]1024MB PC3200 DDR - No divider applied, (only the CAS is loosened to 3.0 cycles) so it's "PC ~3500," running at an effective 444MHz DDR instead of the standard 400MHz.
[*:ccf58fff6c]ATi Radeon X800XT, AGP w/256MB video RAM - Little more to say; uses the default ATi Radeon X800 cooler, and is clocked at the stock levels. (500/500MHz core/VRAM)

If you need a new video card, I just read this months PC World and they've got some awsome cards in there for chump change when your talking video cards. i wish that article had been about 3 months earlier. I did still get a pretty good buy on a GeForce 6600 w/512MB ram for I think it was 125, it was close to that anyway. I think some of these cards would beat it pretty easy and at basically the same price. Anyway hope that helps.
CPU is a P4 3.2GHz w/HT, 2.5GB Ram, 280GB HDD space-2drives, running XP MCE. I don't particularly like MCE. I haven't been able to get it to change channels on my satellite box since I've had it and all hardware has been changed out and I've talked to Dell till I'm blue in the face. I'm done with them I'll figure it out when I feel a little less exasperated and it becomes important. Other than that I love my system it runs great and no other problems and I've put through some changes in the eight months I've had it. It's a Dimension 4700.

Happy 'puting

Runs most things at 1280x1024 on high settings with good framerates.

You're lucky, I have a 3GHz P4 and a xfx 128 6600gt. It can't run MOHPA or HL2 on high at that resolution. Only games that are >2 years old can run like that.

8O That's a nice rig...

Do you ever turn the case fans on? With all that water cooling where's the heat coming from?

Yes I usually turn them all on. They are virtually silent anyway. Keep in mind that even with water cooling, the liquid heats up. Any radiators you have need fans to cool the liquid (that's 4 fans alone), and additional airflow through the case keeps the power supplies cool, ram, etc. Plus the cards, chipset, cpu are overclocked, so they run hotter than normal anyway.

I have Athlon XP 2600+ ~1924MHz
And GeForce 5200 128MB
1GB(2X512)Kingston DDR 400

I can run new games on 800X600 or 640X480 🙁
