I like your style. I'd add a 1973 911 Carrera RS to the list, or any early 911, for that matter. I'm a big Porsche fan; I recently purchased my dream car, a 1987 924S (for a whopping $1200!).

My 924S needs some work, as you'd expect of a $1200 Porsche. Hopefully I'll have it on the road before too long; I can't wait to see how it drives.

The late 90's BMW M3 with that great blue green/aqua marine color. Does anyone know what color I am talking about? Do you know if that color only came out in certain years?

I think you're talking about Laguna Seca Blue, but that was the E46 (2000-2006) M3
post-8094-1231927704.jpg
, but you could also be talking about the Estroil Blue E36 (1992-1999) M3
Silverse36m3.jpg
. Both are excellent choices.

Edit: I need to add to my list the Porsche 959 with everyone around here dropping in the McLaren F1. It is the original supercar (1986).

It looks more like the first picture but more green. Damn it, I have been wanting to know the year of this car forever. One day it will be mine.

Lets just hope that they can give it some bolder lines and eliminate the old fart attitude (I think) that the newer one has. I would not be against a new thunderbird if it is executed better.

Thanks KyleSTL I looked up the Laguna Seca Blue color on google and it is that color. I think the picture you posted has weird lighting or something but that is definitely the color.

Fully kitted Landrover 110 defender, 12t winch, Snorkel, 3.6tdi, rail guards and roof rack, perfect :)

But our Mitsubushi Evo VIII is good as a fast car, 180+mph and handles great as well, and easy to get up to 800bhp (360bhp at moment, new turbo on the way;)

Sorry, but that is the butt-ugliest Thunderbird ever built. I definitely prefer the white-on-red '55 (hardtop/opera), or black-on-black '68 Landau (suicide/sequential turn signals).

^^Nice car. Had the pleasure of seeing a dark blue Shelby 500 last weekend parked next to my house in the driveway. I appreciate the 500 horspower, but I don't think I would every buy one. Not a fan of the portly looking 05 and up Mustangs. I'd rather have an 03-04 Cobra, but to each his own. Once again, nice car!

Terrafugia - I get it, 'leave the earth' and it's a flying car. Classic!

I second the comments on the Thunderbird, there are many better years of that car, let alone better models and makes. C'mon, dream in color. This is your DREAM car.

Short version of a long list...

1965 Shelby Mustang
1969 Boss 302 mustang - Out of Kar Kraft, life Moff's Coca Cola Mustang
Veskanda - pure racer, look it up on the web, made in Australia
1977 Porsche 930 - see below
1978 Porsche 935 - Group 5 racer based on 930, more muscle than the Governator, i think you call him
2008 VW Golf R32
2006 Alfa Romeo GT V6 - what noise, what acceleration
2009 E63 AMG - as above only even more of everything
1985 RALT RT5 - Formula Pacific racer, so fast, yet so simple
1967 Fold Falcon XR GT
1971 Ford Falcon XY GTHO Phase 3 - suggest the internet for these two, that will explain.
1979 Holden Torana A9X - again, try youtube for an understanding
2008 Toyota Aurion TRD - supercharged sedan, front wheel drive, pure stupidity, but so much fun to drive, especially in the rain, tried to kill me three times in 800 metres

there are so many more, but i have neither space nor money to indulge myself...

To each his own, but what your old classic T-bird has in nostalgia, the aero bird has in performance, sharing the FOX platform with the mustang, the pictured car is now a 500 HP supercharged 5.0 with T5 and Cobra brakes. Try that with your old '55. I'm sorry, but I'm a CAR GUY. A slow ass old 55 or the bloated 68 T-bird has no place in my garage.

Actually, no. The 83-88 aero birds offered the best performance potential of any year Tbird. Sure, the 89 and up Tbirds had the faster super coupe, but who wants ford 3.8, let alone a supercharged variant!!!! (if you don't know wtf I'm talking about, google ford 3.8 head gaskets). Also, for as little as $0.30, you can increase the boost of the Turbo coupe from 15lbs to a nice 18 pounds, giving a noticeable 15 to 20 extra horsepower, bringing the stock performance right in line with the super coupe, which BTW was the fastest factory Tbird ever made. Add in the fact that it's basically a fox Mustang with a sleaker body and semi-useable back seat at the sacrifice of a couple hundred pounds, you'll find the Fox tbird is virtually unbeatable in the contest of best performance Tbird. If you've never driven an 87-88 TC, let alone a turbo car in general, you sir have just no room to talk. That's all I can say about that.

Sure, there are plenty of newer, faster, or more classic cars, but the 87-88 TCs were clean, unique, and most of all, an absolute hoot to drive. You should try these links if you care to educate yourself about the subject:
