yes game consoles are just for gaming and everything is dedicated to gaming and the ps2 core clock is around 295 mhz and the sis graphics are at 200 the xbox proc is at 733 mhz and graphics are nforce 4 4 pipes aate 300 mhz the gamecube i dont know.

gamecube is between ps2 and xbox 500ish if i remember correctly, but then why cant we dedicate a certain amount of cpu/pipes to pure gaming? and would setting a game to high priority in task manager have any affect? it seems kinda stupid if an xbox can run games as good as my computer for 150 bux where i spent close to 600... itd be cool if there was some kinda program to let u dedicate the certain cpu to games? i think thats what u were saying from before, i hope at least... also why cant computers run games off of a cd instead of a harddrive? they load maps and screens at the beginning of a game so why cant it just run off a cd? kinda makes me wanna get a keyboard and go to xbox360.. but then again ive been saying that for years

ya parlee but you forget one thing that the console maker makes their own os and instruction set for their games look at the xbox the proc runs at 733 mhz with powerpc instructions which are for gaming and only gaming look if mac had more games they could run them as good as an fx proc!

oh and parlee take the imac g5 and run it on doom 3 agianst the fx-55 it will beat it! look at the xbox 360 it's 3 cores one is dedicated to charecter interaction one to the enviroment and one for the audio thats what i heard wonder if it's true?

i dont understand why u couldnt install that on say a usb drive and plug it in and boot from the usb using the powerpc... it just seems kinda dumb to me that were spending thousands of dollars on computers for gaming when people spend 400 bux on an xbox 360 with 3 3.2 ghz processors...

i dont get why u hate dell... k fine the xps is expensive for little perforamnce but so what, they can get away with that, but if u look at there sub 1000 dollar systems there good deals, yea intel has got dells balls in their mouth because they cant supply amd, but look at there quad gpu desktop, there one of the most advanced and biggest computer companys, there systems are solid if u uninstall all the crap they give u, and they give u it for lower prices, stop dissing dell, u have no reason to, ive owned 4 dells and all still run just as well as when i got them.

Ok, here is my revised "Gaming Enthusiast Dream Machine " based on parts that are readily available as of 2/28/06, all on ZipZoomFly. The only exception is the Arctic Silver which is from NewEgg since ZipZoomFly is completely out of stock. This is a somewhat more "Realistic and Solid" high end AMD setup than some others that i have seen lately, IMHO. Even considering this is in response to a "unlimited budget topic" I figure this kind of setup is still for someone with either deeper pockets than average or a nice sized tax return. 8)
