I will be 60 in a few months.
I still do what I love doing.
I build, remodel, update, upgrade higher end homes in the North Ga. mountains where I live.
My commute is a sight seeing trip, and I get to be creative merging what the client wants to what math and code allows.
Not you typical homes. 4500 sq ft Montana log cabin. A 3.6 million dollar Spanish style home with 3 stall firing range in the basement. And 2 glass elevators. An 1870 Victorian replica from Philadelphia. With 7 piece crown molding downstairs.
A 253 year old 2 story cabin with 150 and 180 year old single cabins married to each side of the original. Them and 3 barns were moved here from Kentucky to make way for an interstate.
The wood from the barns were used to make all interior doors, cabinets, window and door trim. Pantry and kitchen cabinets.
All amenities including central heat and air, wired to electrical spec. 2.5 baths 5 fireplaces and a 3/4 basement game room.
Wood gutters and downspouts. all square head nails if visible. recycled train station beams cut into flooring.

The fun kind of jobs!
But music makes it more enjoyable.

Well, well , well ! What do u know....My neighbor has been playing this track loud since morning, so there goes my head as well. Couldn't concentrate. But not bad for my taste though, to be honest.

This Australian singer has got pretty sweet vocals ! Good song nonetheless, regardless of the genre.

Band name: LIMBONIC ART from NORWAY. Genre: Symphonic BLACK METAL, EPIC Black Metal. 🤘 🤘

Songs mostly revolve around these Lyrical themes: Darkness, Cosmos, VOID, Mysticism, Nihility, Magic and Sorcery.

For those of you who have never heard any songs from LIMBONIC ART/LA band in general, their music could be described as "symphonic", yet cold and raw black metal. And that's what makes it so special. The band managed on one hand exceed the limits of Black Metal by adding symphonic keyboards (and even some operatic vocals), and on the other hand kept the raw spirit of Norwegian Black Metal/BM.

It's hard to explain, but Limbonic Art's music is not based on individual instruments and their performances, but all the elements together create something like a "wall of sound" that just breaks down over you. The atmosphere this band creates is very dark, but at the same time very "spacey". It really feels like sitting in a gloomy gothic cathedral, with these two guys’ (Morfeus & Daemon) noise reverberating from every wall, and the electronic elements adding the spacey, aural feeling.

The term "symphonic black metal" is usually used to describe very epic pieces, taking a lot of time to build up and develop song structures, and Limbonic Art's albums are no exceptions. So much for atmosphere and the general impression, next is the music. On a throne atop all this sits “Daemon”, the lead vocalist. The interesting thing about his vocals is that, no matter how fast the music gets, they almost always stay rather slow and stately, with long vowels.

Electronic reinforcements make them sound even more majestic and powerful, plus they are louder in the mix – compared to the instruments – than in most other bands. Although the lyrics seem to be an important part in the Limbonic Art concept and the vocals are there to carry a message, they are used as kind of an instrument as well, being the final element to complete Limbonic Art's unique sound.

I honored Limbonic Art as my favorite band. I immersed myself in their works, giving every detail its due. Only a fraction of BM bands have withstood the test of time.

For as “Beethoven” expanded the classical orchestra, Limbonic Art count guitars and percussion not as the base elements, but as just another rank of instruments.

Of all of the symphonic black metal bands that have came out, Limbonic Art may be one of the most consistent bands in this specific genre. Based in the black metal headquarters known as Norway, Vidar "Daemon" Jensen would release two demos before getting signed by Nocturnal Art Productions, where they would release their debut album "Moon in the Scorpio" under the label. And let me tell you, I was absolutely mind-blown when I first heard this album.

Not only was there a clear
Emperor influence on this one, but Limbonic Art offered a darker atmosphere with some cosmetic themes, that at the time felt very unique.

When all is said and done, it's easy to see why some of their albums are considered a staple among the symphonic black metal community. “A blend of melodic synths and harsh riffs that sounds fantastic, atop merciless vocals and poetic lyrics”. Limbonic Art would go on to make many more albums with some amazing moments, but their debut album still remains one of their best to date.

“Phantasmagoria” album is also full of surprises. One of my favorite LA albums. Black metal riffs are combined with a lot of excellent funeral doom elements, symphonic parts, death, grind and even some dark thrash riffs. The “Moon in the Scorpio” album captivates me with a transcendent aura, while the “Ad Noctum” album provides solace to my deepest fears.

AMEN.
