Question When does Rogue get to use a sword

I am a level 33 rogue, but still can not equip a sword.

What I did was go see the weapons trainer and pay like 10s to train
swords. You can only train 1H swords. Do it ASAP, you are giving up
a lot of DPS using that low damage dagger. Train maces if you don't
have them yet. When you visit the weapons trainer, if he is unable to
train the weapon you desire, he will tell you what city to visit for
your desired training.


Bronzebeard PVE:
Lehi - 60 Human Paladin
Bathsheba - 60 Human Rogue

Frostmane PVP:
Laban - 60 Troll Rogue
Korohor - 24 Undead Warlock

Go to Stormwind (provided you are alliance) and speak to the weapon master
in the trade district, will cost you 10s poof you can now use 1h Swords

Perhaps you need to see the weapon trainer to use one-handed swords.
I thought rogues started with this ability, but maybe not.

Or perhaps it's a two-handed sword you're trying to equip? Or a sword
with a level requirement above L33?

You need to go to a weapons trainer who can train you in using one - if I
remember rightly the one in Stormwind can train you in swords (if you're
alliance, I've no idea about horde); if he can't, he'll tell you who can. I
don't remember the level requirement, but it's low - I trained in it at
around level 10 or so I believe.

Go see Woo Ping in Stormwind immediately, and train in 1H swords.

This is ssuming you're Alliance, of course. If you're a lvl 33 Rogue
playing Horde, I'd recommend avoiding Stormwind altogether. I can't
remember who trains 1H in Horde, even though I have a Horde Rogue...

Horde go to Under City for sword training.
