When does Vega come out?

I am going to buy a PC and has just recently decided to go with the 1700X instead of the 6800K, and I am wondering that since I am getting a Ryzen. Should I also wait for the vega and see what it's all about? If so when it is Excpected to come out, are we talking a month or two? Juny-july? Or later?

Nobody knows man, AMD still had engineering samples at the event where they unveiled Ryzen so I'd count on later rather than sooner. AMD probably doesn't even know exactly when they're coming out, it depends on how many production issues they run into

AMD said we'd see Ryzen in a couple days and then Vega next net month. so April would be a good guess based on what AMD said

Didn't they release the 290 and 290X before all the others? Maybe they'll release the flagships first again, it would be nice to have 1070 and 1080 competitors on the AMD side again

There's some AMD event about to go on in the next few hours, they'll probably give more information then. I'll be expectin June though.

Many speculate a Vega release during Computex Taipei at end of May.

Are there any hard performance independent numbers yet on this? I am seeing the same 'hype' train when APUs were still codenamed and they were a joke. I been very sad when the FX line Vs iCore and FX lost over time and AMD gave up on it that I got stuck in using iCore since. I lost hope AMD will be competitive again since then. Sadly also the best performance for GPU with many various software seems to work much better with NVidia too, due to the engine choices and so forth.
