When I downloaded DirectX 9 from microsoft website it asks me to type which fold

What folder should I put it in? I'll try to place it in certain folders and it tells me some weird message: "That folder is invalid. PLease make sure the folder exists and is writable."

The directx download includes all versions but will only install what your OS can handle.
